From 22-26 May 2024, President H.E. Mr. Dao Manh Nghia took the helm in chairing the General Meeting of Standing Committee of DMN Initiative - SDGs Council - DMN Foundation for the tenure 2024-2026. This significant gathering brought together a diverse group of attendees, including representatives from DMN Trusteeship Council, DMN Ambassadors, Youth Union, public schools, Local Government, Vietnam Fatherland Front, and various other stakeholders, all with a shared commitment to advancing the goals of the initiative.
During the meeting, the leaders of DMN Foundation presented a comprehensive overview of the accomplishments and outcomes achieved during the period of 2022-2024. Moreover, the delegates put forth a forward-looking agenda for the upcoming period of 2024-2026, with a primary emphasis on scaling up the fund and extending the reach of its impacts to encompass a broader array of countries worldwide.
In his closing remarks, H.E. Mr. Dao Manh Nghia encapsulated the achievements of DMN Initiative spanning over 5 years, acknowledging the invaluable contributions made by members, partners, and other stakeholders in ensuring the success of DMN. He also greenlit the new agenda for the ensuing 5 years, underscoring the pivotal roles to be played by the upcoming DMN International Conference 2024, DMN Young Competition 2025, and other forthcoming DMN events. He urged partners and members to collaborate effectively in organizing these events to achieve desired outcomes.
Furthermore, the standing committee took a significant step by appointing Mrs. Chau Thi Quynh Huong from Vietnam and Lawyer LLM. María Ramírez Osorio from Colombia to join the Standing Committee of SDGs Council under the DMN Initiative, thereby enriching the diversity and expertise within the council.
