DMN President paid a courtesy call on leaders of ASEAN Korea Centre (AKC)

On 19 April 2024, H.E. Mr. Dao Manh Nghia, the President of the DMN Initiative - SDGs Council - DMN Foundation visited the ASEAN Korea Centre (AKC) in Seoul, Korea for courtesy calls with Hon. Mme. Cho Hyun-myung - Deputy Head of Division, Ms. Yeonjoo Lee and Ms. Jiyoon from Information and Data Unit.



The leaders of AKC extended their warm congratulations to President Nghia on his achievements and expressed a shared understanding of the significance of this year as the 35th Anniversary of ASEAN-Korea Dialogue relations, the 15th Anniversary of the ASEAN-Korea Centre., and the 6th Anniversary of the DMN Initiative.


They discussed potential collaboration in the areas of peace and security, education and youth, culture and arts, SDGs as well as other areas that would further promote greater interest and understanding of ASEAN and Korea around the world.



President Nghia expressed his determination to support the works of AKC to advance the bilateral relations between ASEAN and Korea through youth initiatives and relevant activities.



President Nghia also emphasised the importance of joint collaboration between DMN Initiative - SDGs Council - DMN Foundation, AKC, Entities and other stakeholders in enhancing ASEAN-Korea relations.
