Measuring DMN and Ambassadors Action

Impact generated by the DMN Initiative and its Ambassadors Community towards all 17 SDGs in every country in the world, and from every sector, is demonstrated by the quantified impact of Ambassador-led initiatives.

DMN identifies and connects young leaders from every country through our DMN Young Leaders Competition, DMN Youth Summit, DMN scholarship programmes and other events. These young leaders join our Community as Ambassadors or Observers. DMN contributes to their development by:

ACTION FOR NATURE

Under the esteemed leadership of H.E. Mr. Dao Manh Nghia, the exceptional contributions and achievements in Environmental Activities are vividly showcased through the impactful initiatives spearheaded by the DMN Initiative:

 

1. "For a green World" & "For a green Vietnam" Initiative:

- Time period: Every summer (from 2021)

- Aim: Planting a minimum of 2,000 trees annually in each school, fostering environmental awareness among over 100,000 local residents, and implementing practical measures such as constructing biogas tanks in communities, promoting carbon credit sales, adopting solar battery systems, and procuring wind turbine-generated electricity to facilitate the transition towards renewable energy sources.

- Target audience: Local citizens

- Key partners and sponsors: DMN Foundation, Youth Union, Public Schools, Local Government, Nam Yen Group, Farmers Union, Women Union, and other stakeholders

- Output: Planting approximately 5,000 trees annually to restore ecological balance, constructing over 50 biogas tanks, promoting millions of carbon credit sales, installing 86 solar battery systems, and procuring wind turbine-generated electricity at competitive prices to advance renewable energy adoption.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. “CIMB Young ASEAN Leaders” (CYAL) Programme:

- Time period: 23-27 September 2019

- Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

- Aim: Training ASEAN young leaders in utilizing indigenous resources for renewable energy development across the region and beyond, with a focus on sustainability.

- Target audience: ASEAN Young Leaders

- Organizers: CIMB Foundation and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)

- Output: Generation of youth initiatives and white papers proposing renewable energy frameworks for community and economic benefits.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. “Empowering and Building the Capacity of Youth in the Global Integration Processes" Workshop:

- Time period: 27 February 2023 - 20 March 2023

- Location: Vietnam and other countries (seminar and webinar)

- Aim: Deliberating on "Greening COVID-19 Recovery & Achieving Net Zero 2050" to educate global youths on renewable energy diversification, climate change mitigation, and Net Zero 2050 goals.

- Target audience: Global youths

- Organizers: DMN Initiative and Tran Hung Dao School

- Supported by: One Young World, Asia-Pacific MY World 2030, Local Youth Union

- Output: Enlightening 6,000 local youths on renewable energy diversification, climate action, and the pursuit of Net Zero 2050 objectives.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. “Public Cleanliness” Project:

- Time period: 5-10 times per year (from 2018)

- Aim: Conducting waste collection drives in public and historical sites

- Target audience: Local Students

- Organizers: DMN Initiative, Youth Union, and Public Schools

- Output: Undertaking public cleanliness campaigns in markets, natural heritage sites, and historical landmarks like the Martyrs' Cemetery and museums.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5. “Covid-19 and SDGs” Workshop:

- Time period: 6-8 November 2020

 - Aim: Spotlighting SDG thematic areas 12, 13, and 15 in the context of Covid-19 challenges

- Target audience: Local citizens and Local youths

- Organizers: DMN Foundation, Youth Union, and Tran Hung Dao Secondary School

- Sponsors: YSEALI Micro-grant under the US Embassy in Vietnam and the Covid-19 Young Leaders Fund under One Young World

- Output: Identifying environmental protection challenges amidst the global pandemic crisis.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

6. “DMN Young Leaders Competition” and relevant events:

- Time period: Annual (from 2019)

- Location: Vietnam and 8+ countries (US, UK, South Korea, the Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Brunei, etc.) - Aim: Advocating for the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

- Target audience: Local Students

- Organized by: H.E. Mr. Dao Manh Nghia, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Cam Lo District

- Tran Hung Dao School

- Sponsors: YSEALI Micro-grant under the US Embassy in Vietnam, Covid-19 Young Leaders Fund under One Young World, Nam Yen Group, VietHome Construction JSC, and others

- Output: Fostering impactful regional leadership, advancing sustainable development, nurturing responsible and effective leadership, promoting environmental conservation, and convening over 1,000 students, delegates, speakers, government officials, young leaders, educators, parents, and community members for a better and more sustainable world.

7. Green Summer Campaign:

- Time period: Every summer (from 2015)

- Location: Various provinces in Vietnam

- Aim: Waste collection initiatives in rural areas

- Target audience: Students and youths

- Organizers: Youth Union and SDGs Council under DMN Initiative

- Output: Implementing public cleanliness drives in rural communities, fostering environmental stewardship and community engagement.

Climate and Health Program 

At DMN Initiative, we are proud to have made significant strides towards our goals since our inception in 2018. We have provided critical assistance to over 50,000 vulnerable individuals, delivered essential medical supplies, nutritional aid, mental health support, and other vital forms of assistance.

 

Through the DMN Foundation, we have extended financial aid to more than 150 students and aspiring entrepreneurs in communities directly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Our initiatives directly impacted over 14,000 individuals through mental health support and educational programs, distributed over 20,000 medical supplies, and provided more than 100 financial aid packages. Additionally, we have educated over 350,000 global youth on topics such as the SDGs and critical global issues through 86 events, inspiring more than 600 young leaders.

 

Our organization is committed to promoting renewable energy projects in collaboration with local authorities. We focus on wind and solar energy and also engage in the sale of Carbon credits to generate income for reinvestment in community infrastructure. Our efforts include the construction and repair of hospitals, health stations, and tree planting initiatives. We have also partnered with Nam Yen Pharmaceutical Company to cultivate clean medicinal herbs and integrate technology to enhance pharmaceutical production while prioritizing environmental conservation.

 

 

 

Last but not least, we facilitate the coordination of free Covid-19 AstraZeneca vaccines  for communities from 2021-2022.
