About Us

DMN Initiative - SDGs Council - DMN Foundation is an initiative by H.E. Mr. Dao Manh Nghia that aims to popularize, inform, and educate young people about the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations, Vietnamese Law, International Law, Politics, Peace & Security, and a number of international and internal affairs (e.g., Climate Change & Justice Environment, Marine Environment, Mental Wellbeing & Public Health, Poverty & Food Security, Society 5.0, Society Equity, Disarmament & Biosecurity, etc.). Our organization is dedicated to empowering the youth to make a positive impact on the world and create a sustainable future for all. We believe that by working together, we can achieve the SDGs and create a better world for everyone.

DMN Initiative

At DMN Initiative, we create an outstanding programme for the purpose of promoting, enhancing leadership skills and the connection among individuals of the young generation. We build up the interaction between the young generation and the local government to face local issues, to raise awareness of national, regional and global matters. We also create a network of young leaders through activities and engagements including DMN Young Leaders Competition (Inherited from SDGs Competition), workshops, national and international conferences, DMN Scholarship, DMN Youth Summit, DMN Peace Summit, talk shows, knowledge sharing and skill training courses, seed funding, Spring Of Love programme, events, etc. DMN Initiative focuses on critical topics identified by youth in locality: SGDs, poverty, marine environment, climate change, food security, society 5.0, citizens’ active spirit, missions of ASEAN citizens, environmental justice and sustainable indigenous resources for renewable energy, public health, society equity, education quality, disarmament and biosecurity, and countermeasures against Covid-19.

DMN was launched in late 2018 (1 November 2018) when Mr. Dao Manh Nghia was appointed as the Ambassador for ASEAN MY World 2030 Programme (the first tenure) and Asia-Pacific My World 2030 (the second tenure).

The DMN Initiative is led by the President and Honorary President. SDGs Council consists of Chairman, Secretary General, Honorary Chairman, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Council, Vice Chairman, Deputy Secretaries General, Members of Standing Committee, Members and Non-permanent members of the Council, DMN Ambassadors and DMN Observers. DMN Foundation includes the President, Vice Presidents and Secretariat. Additionally, we also established the Global Advisory Board, DMN Trusteeship Council, Budget & Finance Committee, Foreign Affairs Committee, Working Committee and International Students Committee.

SDGs Council

The permanent body of DMN is SDGs Council in consulting and approving the overall initiative. SDGs Council is one of the social organizations which is not a legal entity and works on non-profit targets. This council was launched on 31 May 2019.

DMN Foundation

DMN Initiative established DMN Foundation to assist the local people in overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic as well as with a humanitarian purpose to support underprivileged students in Vietnam and over the world.
